I heard they used to let you go when your car is being built, and you could watch them build it.....that would be awesome!

Hey Junior!

I remember those days back in the 90's and 2000 with the Montreal gang! Those tours at Ste. Therese were great!
As far as I know, there is no program in place for public tours at the Oshawa plant, but if I'm not mistaken, employees there might be able to show a few individuals around every once in awhile... there are enough Oshawa workers on this board who can set the record straight for us.
FWIW, the Glendale Ave engine plant in St. Catharines, Ontario, has an event each year (show 'n shine) when that plant is opened up for public tours.
Who knows what the future will bring?

Best regardSS,

Elie

This has been covered. Oshawa does not offer tours. There was a guy who works there that tried to work something out with taking pictures of our cars as they progressed down the assembly line and even that wasn't ultimately allowed. Wish it was.

I have taken a couple of tours through the Oshawa plants over the years, however the last time was in 2004. I don't think they offer it anymore...I used to go on GM Employee Family Day...those were the days...when GM used to have money to spend on the little things, like their employees. :(

Imo this is a shame really. They have a hit on there hands and should take full advantage of it. Heck how hard would it be for them to even take pictures of our cars if we paid for it going down the line. For a lot of us this car brings back awsome memories of our past its not like a 4 door sedan we are talking here. They do this with the vette in bowling green and can tell you from my father-in-laws experience was worth every dime. Some of my best memories is with my wife in my 80's camaro before we did the whole marriage, kids mortgage thing.

People get fired for taking unauthorized pictures inside the plant
