It seem like every body finds the need to want to race me or proof them selfs against me just because I drive a camaro.I mean i get the mustangs and a couple of imports trying to but it gets out of hand when you have minivans and suvs trying to race you!

Welcome to one of the worst downsides of owning a Camaro. It is a daily hassle with the SUVs in my area. Almost every day there is some nut trying to run me down or ride my rear like I'm not going fast enough for them. I dunno why they see red when they see me (especially because my Camaro is Blue!) yet they can't seem to leave us be. It sucks, and it gets old fast.

I've had my Camaro for eight months thus far, and in that time I've only had two mustangs try to have a go with me. Maybe 12-15 imports try it, but countless SUVs on a daily basis try it all the time. How does that make sense?

yea ive had mine for 6 months now and every day on the highway you have some lunatic that expects you to go 160 all the time just because you drive a camaro....Yeah usually i always have imports especially civics that seem like there falling apart come up and start acting crazy and expect me to act the same and im not gona risk messing up my car over some idiot who wouldnt even notice the 100th dent on his car..

My wife had a Tundra trying to race her yesterday. She just kept looking and laughing at him.

yeah the other day i had dis beat up white 1992 dodge minivan with what seemed like 10 people in it insist on racing me on the highway for like an hour I let it go its way and found him 3 minutes later on the side of the road lol...those tundras are pretty quick tho

I think if I was to keep track I actually get more compliments and thumbs up than people wanting to race. Which is good, as one Nascar driver told me " remember it's a street car and you are on the street."

We all get it, I noticed after I tinted my windows that since they can't make eye contact I get less of it now.

I just bought mine yesterday and it's happened to me half dozen times already...from Hondas to mustangs and SRT's...I'm too psyched about my car to really notice them.

It is normal, no matter what generation camaro you drive, there will always be someone trying to race you.....

its almost like a rivalry between me and 2005+ mustangs. Was driving home last night and one decided it would be really cool to cut me off to move over 2 lanes. Well he got his, almost got into an accident and a lovely giant camera took a picture of him going past a red light. Yep real fast
