Congrats I saw one in CGM at the Buffalo auto show last month and it looked really good. I picked mine up and drove it home in heavy rain and there were no leaks so I hope you dont have any either.

Thanks all! Got to drive home from work today with the top down, fun stuff. Took tomorrow off, I plan to run a lot of errands and rather than group them, go out and do them one at a time

Isn't it a blast! I took 2 extra days off of work too. There happened to be a car show the day after I got mine, so I took it up to meet some of the other Camaro owners. I can't stop laughing like a mad-man every time I launch from the light!.

There was a 2LT CGM with flat black stripes on the truck when mine came in last week. Thats a beautiful color on the vert!

I'm seriously considering black hood stripes...

I am totally loving it. It rides stiff but smooth, much better than my Mustang. It feels more....solid and definitely more balanced. Even the Auto has some good get up and go.

Grabbed a few more shots today.

More Random Thoughts

Now that I've had the car a little over a month, I've learned a few more things worth passing on:
  1. Brake Dust: Wow, I've never seen so much. My wheels start looking bad after about 40 miles. Since I already have RS rims, they just end up looking the same color as the car. Hope this calms down.
  2. The Tonneau Cover Still sucks. I hope in the future they can integrate it or make a body panel open to accept the top. The engineering is already there to do it...this is something GM can definitely improve upon in the future and I hope they do.
  3. The top is slow to put down and even slower to put back up.
  4. Front plate: GM should explore providing a no-drill option here.
  5. Factory floor mats: Don't waste your time or money. I added Lloyd's mats and am loving them (which also gives you mats for the rear). In retrospect I will get black mats next time instead of gray.
  6. Backup Camera mirror: See my other thread about this. GM has no choice but to solve this little dilemma, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they do it so I can copy it
  7. I have a rattle in the rear, it really does sound like the exhaust or muffler. Appointment this Tues to address it.
  8. My side windows and or top needs adjusting, this will also get addressed on Tues.
  9. In pre-production photos they show the magical interior door lighting extending all the way around the dash. There may be a practical reason for not really doing it, but I wish they had. I think it would look better.
All of this is little stuff. It's a great car and a joy to drive! I actually look forward to going to work most days. Sadly the weather around here has sucked - cold and rain or just cold or just rain most days. I've driven with the top down every single opportunity. I'll followup as any of the above gets addressed.
I've still yet to see another Vert in "the wild". I did finally see 3 at a dealership near work, but I've still not seen someone else driving one. There's a Camaro show next weekend I hope to make it to, so hopefully...
