ZL1 Transmission Poll - Help us get to 1000 votes!

Hey everyone. I wanted to put this here for those of you who don't look at the ZL1 specific forum. Back when GM unveiled the ZL1 we asked GM if they would offer an automatic transmission on it. They then in turn asked if we think they should offer one. So I started a poll on here as to whether or not C5 members think they should. The response has been staggering with currently around 750 total responses, 2 to 1 in favor of an automatic.

Now here is the important part. At C5 Fest I talked with John Fitzpatrick who was already aware of the poll and he told me that if I got it to 1,000 total responses then he would give a final answer about the transmission.

So if you haven't already voted head to this thread and help us get there!

How cool would it be for C5 to be the driving force behind this announcement!?

Yeah i went ahead and voted No lol. Manual's are getting more rare by the day and autos are nice and getting better than manual's but something gets lost. I guess as long as they still have a manual transmission then id be ok but it also would be kinda cool to know that car is only available with a stick.

The stick is going nowhere, not on this kind of car at this moment. So why vote "no" and deny someone who wants (or needs) an automatic the opportunity to get what they want? How does it hurt you or what you'd choose?

Even at $50,000, this car doesn't have the kind of price tag to justify that kind of elite exclusivity - if it did, you wouldn't see so many Corvettes around

I voted long ago. I don't know that I will buy a ZL-1, just because I would end up modifying it so heavily that I don't think the extra money would make very much sense, but it would have to have an auto for it to even be in consideration.
