Somewhat.
400rwhp out of this car without a turbo or supercharger only leaves one route and that is nitrous. What is the hp predictor say for a 12.01 run in the quarter with our weight? My car may be heavy, I guess yours is just downright obese then? I'd rather have my v6 that I paid $24.4 with taxes which I've run as fast as a 13.88 than some of your 2ss's that are cutting mid 13's.(what'd you pay for yours by the way?)
I do agree with the cutouts being worthless without a power-adder, but to the owner, if it puts a smile on his face that's all that really matters. If not I'm not sure he'll be willing to ask for your permission to mod whatever he wants with his own money, but you might ask.
And I do agree that you're one of those type of v8 owners. You know, most are cool, then there are the ones that feel the need to piss on the v6 guys for wanting to mod their rides in the v6 sections. Do the other v8 guys not want to play with you or what? Will the bashing never end?
OK... here we go... I took my comment away because I got to thinking about it and figured someone out there would take it the wrong way... I was right, I can always count on you to always think someone is talking smack about the V6... What part of "I see nothing wrong with a V6 Camaro... they are every bit as cool and bad ass as my V8" didn't you understand?

I am not going to get into a pissing match with you about whos car is better. And as for the cut out comment... I really couldn't care less what people want to spend their money on... its their car and if they want to drive something that sounds like the V6 does with straigt pipes FINE... its none of my business and if they like it more power to them... I am simply stating my option that is sounds bad. And its dyno proven that the cut outs actually lose torque (what really matters) due to the reduced back pressure.

Listen, I can tell your old school... and thats fine but this car isnt your old 69 Camaro with a 396 or whatever...

As far as what I paid... if you must know I paid about 10K more for my car than you... but you know what... I got a hell of a lot more too. Sure, maybe a lot of it is just "ginger bread" weight adders but it sure is nice on a cold day to put those seat heaters on... oh yeah buddy... that way when I put that 420 ft-lbs of torque to the road and watch you in my rear view my ass is nice and warm... Note the joke dude, dont take everything so freakin personal... Youre car is jsut that... yours and as long as it makes you happy. Quit trying so hard to defend the V6... just be happy with it. I don't recall anything I said in my previous statement a thrash on a V6... I simply said it was heavy and low on torque. Chill out... ok?

Good luck with it and let us all know how it goes.

By the way, I have run my 13.88 and another guy in the area ran a 13.7 in his 2SS. The sad part is if we would've lined up I would've kicked his arse. The light doesn't get greener. Go already.
YAWN... good for them, and for you....

I am sure you would but at least I will still have a warm bumm!

and... for whats its worth... which I am sure isnt much... I am not a drag racer so whatever you all run in the 1320 mean nothing to me... I think its boring. To each their own though. I have been down the strip twice in my life. Did nothing for me. If I wanted a "race car" I wouldnt have bought this heavy ass expensive car.

bahahaahahaha! Guess you have no idea what jrhaus runs! You would need about 30K a complete engine and tranny swap, new suspension, gears, diff, posi clutches and some Bogarts to even come close to having him see the taillights. Then you would need 4 new brake systems to slow the 4100 lbs back down... Honestly I dont think he is sayin anything bad about the V6's and modding them...He is just stating the true facts..thats all.

I don't care what he runs. He said he paid extra 10k for a v8 compared to a v6 obviously not including any mods he might have put in. However that 10k put into a v6 will smoke the v8. Stating facts as well, no hate.

Saying the v6 can't be a race car is pretty much slapping the people modding their cars to race, in the face. Any car can be a race car. Rotary engines, 4bangers, v6, inline 6, etc. Doesn't have to be a v8 or larger...

Smoke is a bit strong... and it depends on where this "smoking" is to take place... but I do agree you put 10K into an LS and are at the same dollar value as I have in my car I assume were probably talking twin turbos... I am sure that would've walked all over my car when it was stock... but I am not allowed to talk about my mods...

No hate taken... we're good!
