Hey folks and thanks for the kind words! to the Cruze owners, did the transmission shifts firm up any after break-in? I really liked the Cruze, i hope my writeup didn't seem like I didn't as it is surely still in contention! I will hopefully be driving an Elantra today, giving it isn't pouring the rain and they still have one left. Small cars are selling like crazy right now! The had 3 Sunday, sold 2 yesterday! I wish my Chevy dealership would get a little more variety in as of right now they have 5 1LTs, with the colors of white or silver only (If I end up with a Cruze I think I will have my dealer find one in gray), only difference is some have the spare tire and or the connectivity package and some do not. Still no sign of a Focus at the local dealers, it will probably be next month. I also found out my closest VW and Subie dealers are a couple hours away, may still check them out, but that would be a pain as far as any warranty issues and maintenence. Stay tuned!

There was a transmission calibration issue with the first batch of Cruzes, it should have been fixed since then.

Ours is taupe gray. love the color. I haven't noticed any shifting issues at all. I'll post some pics tomorrow when she gets back into town. |

It has some really nice lines. But I think one of the big differences is NVH. A lot of engineering effort went into making the Cruze quiet and it shows.

It's a nice little car. And like number 3 said, it really rides nice and quiet. We got rid of her 2009 Jetta Wolfsburg turbo. That car was fast, but it rode like a horse and buggy. The cruze gets about 7 mpgs better on the highway too. She has 3000 miles on the car in 6 weeks.......

And as a side note, my only complaint is the fabric on the dash......
She did all the test driving and picked the cruze. I went and bought it for her and never sat in it until delivery day. I was liked, WTF is this...... But, if that's my only complaint then it's a nice car. And get the pioneer stereo.... Worth every penny. |

When I was at the dealer picking up my new Vert, I looked at the cruze and sat it one in the shrowroom.
I was mighty tempted to go ahead and buy one of those also to use as a DD to compliment the new Vert. |
