More time that goes on the less likely I think we'll see a 2012 in auto, but could see one for 2013....

Also....some people state that the car is built for the track....really? I see so many things wrong with that statement I really don't know which to point out first haha.

....and then there is the, "well if the ZL1 gets a auto, the ZR1 should get one too"....wow.

I know responses have already been sent. And that this has already been mentioned. But for what it's worth...Yes on the automatic transmission. I would have to agree with many others that high quality paddle shifters would be an awesome plus for those who would like to revert back & forth from auto to enthusiast shifting. One could not go wrong with placing an integrated system and developing options that customers would certainly appreciate. The little things are what keep the support & love from a strong consumer base.

Yeah!, and I've rowed a six-spd manual alot (and I was GOOD) and they ARE great fun. BUT there's something fun about letting my L99 give me as much rubber in first as I want, then about 3 feet of it at the 1-2 shift, with another foot or so with both wheels at the 2-3 shift --- as it clocks in the 12's --- every time.

THIS!!! I heard what Al said- itis time to move on.... But can we move on to something that is a bit less hideous?

Honestly, all 2012 Camaros (with the exception of ZL1, I know the bottom is flat.) will share a steering wheel with AVEO?????

Would like to be able to have a choice on trans but don't want another auto with AFM.
That was my reason for getting rid of my 2010 2ss. Didn't want to have the AFM tuned out and then lose my warranty.

I voted no, but that was if I were going to buy one. However I cant afford a ZL1 so my little ol 426hp SS will have to do the trick. But GM needs to look at the CTS as reference. They would be crazy not to offer an automatic on the ZL1. But don't ask a guy that has been selling GM's for the last 16 years, because you know he would have to be crazy too. I work at a Cadillac Dealership in the midwest and I ran a quick poll of my own. 50 CTSv's coupes with automatics available within 500 miles. The same 50 manual trans CTSv's were 1250 miles apart. Bottom line is the customers with the money to spend on a car like the ZL1 deserve the right to opt for the transmission they want.

I voted yes, even though I'd be disappointed looking through a window and seeing an automatic, but that's just because my dream would be a manual. That's just my preference. From a sales standpoint, yes, offer an automatic. From every other standpoint, yes. Let people have what they want and/or need. You'll see me with a manual, and that's what matters to me.

I totally agree, lets not wussify these cars... all the inconsiderate morons that cant think past themselves need to go trade your penis extension in on combat training and learn what it means to live your life for someone else.

Thats just sad.
Post of the Century!!! (FWIW I want the manual, but see no reason to not offer the auto! And our sincere thanks to your friend, and all our veterans!)

There shouldn't be an automatic transmission in any car, let alone a ZL1.

Everyone I know with a V has the standard. Then again, they're my age or slightly older (mid 20s to early 30s), so that would generally be expected.

$200,000 worth of cars in your sig area and you care about a powertrain warranty on a $35,000 car? LMAO.

Offer both transmissions. If not for the sole reason that the car will appeal to more people. More appeal = more sales.

I voted yes too for the same reason, though I wouldn't want one, I think the choice should be there.

NO! Having this exclusive car in a automatic should be against the law! Keep this car a drivers car not another dime dozen optioned out car. You want a daily driver, buy an SS.
