cars are like women, some are old, some are new, some get turned on easily some need a lot more help, some you just wanna drive into the river, some you can't wait to get inside of, some are expensive to maintain, some are low maintenance, however if you treat them right, you'll have her for the rest of your life.....

Info on Z/28 possibility

FBODFATHER YOUR DREAMS ARE ABOUT TO COME TRUE!. Earlier today I was minding my own business in the store and came across the new Motor Trend. Their cover story features the general's plan for a new Z/28. My jaw dropped as I read what this beast is ready and ripping to do. I won't spoil the details but it's on the Most Popular portion of M.T's website. (Maybe someone else who's more computer savvy can provide a link). Then again this may be old news...if so sorry about rehashing what other people already know

(By the way this is my first entry but I've enjoyed the site. I've had a 1977 T/A 6.6. litre (black w/T-tops) since high school and if the general isn't bringing back the bird I guess I'll have to console myself with a black SS/RS)

Z/28 is back, no BS here.

hey there to every one. Been away for some time but just wanted to let every one know and I do not care if this is a reposed. To me this is news that is 20min old. So here it is the Z/28 is not dead. I just stumbled on the April 2009 VOL61, NO 4 issue of motor Trend and the cover pic is of a computer generated Z/28in orange with ether white or silver rally stripes. To get an Idea of what it looks like the camaro for Transformers 2 revenge of the fallen is the way the cover pic looks. It is said in the article that the car will be powered by the LSA V-8 that is currently powering the CTS-V. It is saying the CTS-V comes in as a fatty at 4300 LBS but the Z/28 will have 200-300LBS shaved off. Also the CTS-V can do 0-60 in 4.1 1/4 mile in 12.3 w/ the auto, and top end is limited to 175. the stick will top out at 193mph. estimated the new Z/28 will do 0-6- in 3.9 and the 1/4 in low 12's. they are saying this car could in effect be the fastest pony car form GM sense the legendary

ZL-1. The car is said to be on hold due to the economy so, and is said to get 13-19mpg. Also to get The car out a source to GM said they may keep the production numbers low and number each car kind of like the Shelby mustanges. Any way you can all call BS if you want but pics will come with this post.

It is a repost and there is no Z28 in the forseeable future.

Sigh

This came out a week or so ago. It is just speculation. Sure it could happen if GM had money and the government didn't think the best way to reduce gas consumption was to set arbitrary fuel economy standards, but that isn't the case. The Z is in no way official, Motor Trend speculates just like everyone else.
