Will a weak MAF effect performance without a cold air? I just did my headers and exhaust and I really dont get much spin, but I do have 295's on back now though.

Well you got it from a great dealer and a great service team. Brian Trembley will more than likely get to the bottom of the situation for you. My gut is telling me that maybe you will need Clint to look at the tune and find what is kicking in to cause low power. Cant wait to see you out there.. Check on the Colorado thread here or on facebook Colorado Club of the Rockies for more details.

I also live at a similar altitude, and just taking it for a test drive I was able to smoke em easily. And it was stock then.

Weird. I know when I got my tuned after pretty much the same mods as the OP, my tuner told me that these cars come with a crap ton of torque management. The drive home after the turn, I got on it hard at a stoplight to see what it could do and man I was surprised how rough it was! In a good way of course....

But anyways, to really take advantage of your headers, and get rid of that damn torque management, get a tune!!!

If it is a K2 it is a weak one. The good ones are a letter followed by 2 numbers

From everything I see, it's any number or numbers means strong maf and letter only means weak maf..

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...light=weak+maf

"After consultation with GM and the manufacturer of the MAF sensors it was discovered that there is a simply way to identify the "weak" and "strong" sensors. "Weak" sensors have a single letter factory code in the location pictured below and "strong" meters have a letter followed by a number. For those unfortunate enough to have received a "weak" sensor from the factory APEX Motorsports is now stocking verified "strong" GM MAF sensors."

I, too can break the tires loose a bit too easily. First day I ever owned the car I was turning left at a stop sign and I guess I gave it too much gas, the rear end flew out and almost went full circle

And not too long after that I was doing a U-turn and fishtailed about the entire way through it, and that was when the Camaro was first getting on the road. Sure did entertain a few people that day

I did the same thing!!! Sure scared the poor old guy that had just gone by in the other direction. I managed to keep it to a 180. The posi kicks in and locks up the rear end then around you go.
