Hey all, few nights ago i told Cold Air Inductions about BBOMG on their facebook page, they were unaware the event was happening, they are now interested in coming to share their camaro passion, and great product with us.

Theres no rules against vendors coming is there?

Hi Rick,

If you don't mind, I spotted two more Detroit 5thGEN members in the West (Detroit) list - 1BAADSS and Bonemaro.

Also, to go with my user name, if you can add 'Curt and Laurie', that would be cool.

Thank you!

Curt,
We have several club affiliations which is why we just stuck with the west Detroit but thanks for lookin out.

Hi all,
I am considering going to this event (coming from Vermont, USA) but confused on what is happening each day.
I know Friday is the Factory Tour and a dinner; after that I'm fuzzy.
BBOMG3 vs. Plant tour vs. OCC nationals???

This is all new to me.
Any help would be appreciated

We are all waiting for the itinerary for the weekend for the BBOMG which should be soon. I'm sure the organizers have more things to straighten out first before putting it out there.
BBOMG3 & Plant tour vs. OCC nationals???

Let's put this in it's simplist terms...

Every year (for many years) the Ontario Camaro Club has had its yearly gathering in St Catherines. A separate group known as the BBOMG (Buyers and Builders Oshawa Meet and Greet) came onto the scene two years ago with the release of the 5th generation Camaro. We- the BBOMG- wanted something a little more special than a generic meet. It doesn't mean in any way that other gatherings don't have their own significance but "we" wanted to stand out in a different way. 99% of all car shows out there relate to the owners; we wanted ours to represent the partnership of the owners and the fine men and women who built our cars. Never before have the people involved in production ever had the opportunity to see first hand the "fruits of their labor" so to speak. That's what we wanted to bring to the table...
.
All that said, the plant tour is being hosted by the OCC (because someone had to be in charge) but the only reason the whole thing is happening in the first place is because of us. We were the ones hanging out around the Oshawa plant the first year hoping to get a glimpse of what was really going on, and we were the ones camped out in one of the GM Oshawa parking lots last year simply to show our appreciation for the tremendous job the Oshawa employees were doing and to give them some recognition for their efforts.
.
The OCC is a wonderful organization and they deserve credit for all they have done- just not for this...

Rick is absolutely correct. We will be releasing information concerning our itinerary soon. We are hoping that we will be able to release some itinerary information concerning the Camaro Homecoming / OCC Nationals at the same time. But I know the organizers of the Homecoming / Nationals are still hard at work finalizing their plans.

If I may make a recommendation - Book the time off and come to Oshawa that weekend. Plan to arrive on the Thursday and stay until Sunday. All of the BBOMG planned activities are completely optional. BBOMG registrants can participate in as much or as little of the weekend as they choose. That includes BBOMG activities, the OCC Nationals and Camaro Homecoming activities. But no mater what you choose, I'll guarantee you will be glad you came and you will have a great time!

Thanks CanadianCamaro for keeping us posted. All I know is that we have a car, a room starting Thursday and ticket receipts for dinner and a tour.

Hey Rick,

Myself, my son and two friends from Ottawa will be in Oshawa that weekend. As Scott, has indicated there will be a lot going on so not sure what events we will be attending other than the plant tour. Hotel booked for Thursday.

... I even bought a set of tires to put on the car just incase the ones I have on now don't last! I am trying to suck all the life out of them but... if this rain continues, I may not drive the car for 42 more days...
