People with manuals, don't get asked why did you get a manual.

It's more fun, I don't mind it in the traffic.

1. Didn't want to pay more for less HP.

2. When I read the description of the AFM, I just couldn't go there. Figured the skip shift would be a lot easier to live with.

Because I feel like I'm actually driving when I use a manual. Looking in the window of a great car and seeing an automatic makes me feel sorry for the owner lol

This, except I AM 30, so 14 years. It's just the way a performance car is supposed to be.

The only thing is that my girlfriend can't drive a manual, which is a mixed bag. Yes, on the one hand, she doesn't ask to drive it, but on the other, it means she cant be the DD. :(

I wouldn't even consider a sports/muscle car without a manual, an automatic takes alot of the potential 'fun' out of a car like this. Way more driving options on a manual IMO......

When my wife and I started looking for the Camaro, we both agreed that this is a car that will be a classic. We wanted the "standard" pony car, like all the 1st Gens that we see at car shows: V8, SS, RS package and manual transmission. The only option for us was color.

Lol! Same! When my friend came home from out of town with a 5.0 i ran over after work and peeked into his car. Auto! I balled all the way back to my house! Anyway I think manual is tons of fun and requires a level of driving skill most Americans don't have. Traffic is not that big an issue - in heavy traffic I keep it in 2nd. And you can't complain about having to push the clutch in traffic as you have to push the brake-it's just one more pedal. No big deal.
