I'm hoping GSP loses.. while he's easily one of the best fighters in MMA, he just reminds me of Roy Jones Jr....

GSP is in his prime right now. I think he will try to make it a stand up fight. If it goes to the ground, I give Jake a chance to submit him. I think GSP has two great years left....that is if he can avoid the temptation to fight the Spider.

I'll agree with ffrcobra, I haven't really seen any of Shields' stand-up to have me say that he can hang with GSP. On the ground though, GSP isn't a slouch, but don't know how good his ground game is gainst Shields.

Shields easily has a better chin, and a much better ground game than GSP. However, GSP has the better standup and overall technical skills...

Totally agree. In Jake's last fight, he seemed gassed and if his conditioning is not 100% vs. GSP, he is going to get knocked out off his feet or ground pounded to a TKO. Jake is among the top echelon of BJJ practitioners but GSP is a machine and is excellent in every aspect of MMA.

That right there. It didn't seem as if he was prepared for that pace. Unless he upped his conditioning, I think GSP may stay true to his word finish Jake early (not taking anything away from Jake though).

He dropped weight, from 185 to 170....and he was never really ready to fight at that weight. He's since stayed at 170.....so he should be just fine for this fight.

Awesome fights!!

Yes Randy got knocked out by a "karate kid flying crane" kick to the face. Looked like he lost a couple teeth, he got hit so hard!!

Aldo gassed and GSP wants to go to the hospital, he thinks he got something in his eye!! I like the guy but he cracks me up after his fights!!
