Anyone near Iowa have the MRT exhaust on their Camaro? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I want to take a listen in person. I would like to hear both. I'm caught between the Flowmaster AMT or the MRT V1.0. I wouldn't mind paying the extra money for the MRT V2.0 but I want to see what the exterior and cabin volumes are like. I have watched every video I could possibly find on these systems through my home theater setup. Even still I know it is not completely like hearing the real thing. I recently met up with Redmaro and listened to his exhaust setup (Flowmaster 40s) and was completely blown away by the sound, it was amazing. However, you could hear the rasp from the interior when he started to get on it. I suggested he get the x-over pipe from Magnaflow. Anyway, if anyone could give me some help that would be great. Thanks.

Oh and what kind of gains is every seeing from these systems, HP and TQ?

I thought about the MRT, but I ended up going with Gibson. I should actually be putting it on my car tomorrow.

I'm in Ames, and I'm thinking about the MRT 2.0 also w/resonator delete, but I need money first.

Hey Cymaro. Clever name, lol. I would think that by doing a resonator delete with v2.0 you would be close to the sound of the v1.0. I could be wrong thought. I'm thinking about purchasing pretty soon so if you get the v2.0 soon you should let me know otherwise I can keep you posted when I get mine. Hey you should add yourself to the camaro "mash-up" thing we are lacking representation haha. Anyway keep in touch. Later.

Yup, got it on there with the help of a couple friends from work. It sounds pretty good to me, but I don't have anything else to compare it to in person. You're welcome to have a listen sometime if you want.

I would also be interested in hearing the MRT sometime. Hopefully I didn't make a mistake since I don't need to be buying another exhaust system!

Of course that is the problem you never know until you can compare. I'm sure you will be satisfied with the Gibson. I will keep everyone informed when I do get my exhaust, I'm leaning towards the MRT now for sure.
