Stainless Works Header Differences

All Stainless Works headers are made from 100% 304l SS, have 3/8” laser cut flanges, 100% tig welded and have integrated merge spikes in the collectors.

Factory connect headers are a full length header, and as the name implies, they go to the factory connection point. What’s the deal with this factory connection point that we keep referring too? On every single 2010+ Camaro, there is a connection point that separates the front lead pipes from the catback system. At this connection point, it necks down to 2.5” and is connected with a wide band clamp.

90% of the aftermarket exhausts neck down to this 2.5” connection point so it will be a direct bolt on. So if you already own an aftermarket exhaust or you simple want to keep your factory catback, these headers are for you.

Factory Connect Part #s and Pictures:
Part # CA11HDRCAT – 2” Long tubes with high flow cats
Part # CA11HDRCATST – 1-7/8” Long tubes with high flow cats

Part # CA11HDROR – 2” Long tubes with offroad lead pipes
Part # CA11HDRORST – 1-7/8” Long tubes with offroad lead pipes

On a stock Camaro, our factory connect headers will generally give you 25HP depending on the car and dyno.

We designed our performance connect header system for the person who wants to squeeze every bit of power out of their Camaro. Our performance connect headers have all the same features and benefits of our headers listed above with the exception that the primaries are a tad longer which make our lead pipes go past the factory connection point. The lead pipes are 3” and do not swage down to 2.5” to fit the factory connection point. You must use our SW catback system to bolt up, or modify your existing exhaust.

Part # CA10HDRCAT – 2” Long tubes with high flow cats
Part # CA10HDRCATST – 1-7/8” Long tubes with high flow cats

Part # CA10HDROR – 2” Long tubes with offroad lead pipes
Part # CA10HDRORST – 1-7/8” Long tubes with offroad lead pipes

Click here view performance connect catback systems that will bolt up to the performance connect headers.

So what’s the benefit to our performance connect headers? Well, if you ever want to do more than simple bolt ons, a full 3” exhaust from header to tip will help you squeeze every bit of power out of that vehicle. Supercharged vehicles love our performance connect system Secondly, it has a fully tuned sound when combined with our catback systems. You simply bolt it on and go. No cutting or welding required. Its completely drone free and you don’t have to guess what your car will sound like with headers and exhaust because we did the work for you. Power wise, we have seen Camaros dyno between 25-35hp depending on what was done to the vehicle with our full system.

Here are some pics of our full performance connect system installed:

Stay tuned for the V6 stuff.

Great post... For those of you looking for a quality header backed by a lifetime warranty at competitive price Stainless Works is the answer. This is a true bolt in system no chop, cut, weld or dimples required. I installed my system in about 3 hours on jackstand in my garage.

How difficult is it to install the merge spike? I was shipped a set of headers without one and when I called to ask abuot it, the rep on the phone said he would send me a set. This was 2 months ago, still no merge spike. I'm assuming that if/when I do get it, I'm going to have to take off the headers and weld it in myself?

Hello,

I do like the sound of Tag's car. Do you know if it was pretty much a stock SS or does he have additional motor work done like a supercharger or cam?

1-7/8" LTs, no cats, mated to Flowmaster A/T catback! LOVE IT!

I first had them mounted to my OEM catback but the OEM catback made the car a little bit raspy. Sounds amazing now!!

Hooked mine up (no cats) to the factory exhaust - a nice mix of quiet cruising and roaring open throttle.
