I have a friend that parks like that on purpose next to nice cars because he wants too see them and allow them the room they need.

At least he gave you room! I parked at a hotel the other night on my way home from vacation and some jackass in a semi parked his cab right next to me in an entirely empty row - hi, not even one space there buddy? I hate that! I never park right next to someone unless there's no other space in the lot (which has been, like, never, LOL).

They guy is clearly a car enthusiast who knows how wide Camaro doors open.

He wanted to leave you enough room to get in and out without a hassle.

I do that all the time to guys with nice cars. I am pretty confident I won't be banging my door into someone elses, so I will intentionally park next to guys that park farther out (not the farthest away) to keep the jerks from being jerks. I guess I hope to get the favor returned.
