Dude! Tag, you are absolutely the man! Thanks for the great write up, as well as restoring some faith that there are still dealers that actually care!

+1!!!

It's very nice to have the right connections... you lucky mofo. I am itching just to SIT in one let alone drive it. I wonder how many bad guys you are going to catch tonight? NONE, you will be daydreaming of driving your new SS.

This is the sort of qualified review that should be published in every magazine when they get their Camaro SSs for testing. TAG UR IT, you have experienced what I can only dream of getting to experience someday soon.

Awesome read! Glad to hear your thoughts. I know you only had a short time with it, but did you get any indication of what mileage the SS will actually get? Did you notice how many RPMs you were at when you were going ~65? This is what's causing me grief in choosing between the SS and just a plain RS...

Dude...you will have PLENTY of room! I have trouble in a lot of cars getting comfortable. NOT IN THIS ONE. You will be AMAZED at the room. This, I PROMISE.

I can't wait to see it at night. During the day, the spaciousness is what got me the most. HUGE layout. Dash was easy to read...very cool.

Thank you, kind sir. Nope...no more photos. I was too busy drooling...and there was my camera...sitting in the cup holder...

PS: Tel that guy to drive it to Alabama. Steph would love a ride.
Honestly...and this is what is bugging me THE MOST. I could not tell the difference. Why? Because I was in HEAVY traffic. I mean, I could not jab the throttle or I'd be eating rear bumper! In all seriousness, while driving, I felt like I was driving a 2 million dollar concept. I mean...could you imagine being the first person to wreck a new Camaro? How epically FAIL would that BE! I couldn't do it. And, when I got on the HWY, I just felt like doing it would be completely wrong. I know...and I feel HORRIBLE for not getting on it. I really should have...so I could have given you all a REAL review. ...and with that, I think I just might make a phone call. ...seriously.

Quick questions:

1) How was the steering feel? I know the Mustangs and Challengers are horrible :(

2) Did it feel like the heavy car that it is?
Steering feel was that of a 4th Gen. It was normal...best I can explain. If you drive a 4th Gen, the wheel itself took the same amount of pressure to turn and had the same "feel" of the 4th Gens.

It does weigh more. But, with the short drive that I had, I could not tell there was more weight than a 4th gen. Honestly, I needed more time with it. Again, sorry I can't say "x, y, and z" for fact from MY experience.

Dude..you are the same size as me! Again, you are going to FLIP! The 4th Gen has NOTHING on the roominess of this 5th Gen. They took us big dudes input "to the bank" on this one.

While in the car, I turned around looking at the back seat. Honestly, the back seemed narrow. Then, I turned back and it was SPACIOUS. Turned back and I could see the big blind spots. In truth, we will ALL get used to them. But, they are there unlike the 4th Gens.

Yes, I could feel the width of the 5th gen over the 4th gen. Then, you look in that side mirror and SEE the difference between the two! Those rear shoulders just showing off...on how MUSCULAR "I am!"

No indication of mileage. And, I didn't ask. Sorry. RPM's were low. I can't remember where they were while in 6th, but it was quiet and the rumble was low. It had to be 1,500 or so at 64....I'm guessing.

^ Epic reply too!

That's so cool what you say about comfort.

It's also, so cool to see you get a taste of reality after all the dreamin'.

I'm really building excitement.
