I got mine in today too. The final result is that they sound pretty awesome, but I had a hell of time trying to get the tips even. Not sure if that's my bad cutting skills or whether one of the mufflers was a little bit off. I think I got it mostly worked out, but my tips may be sticking out a little too far. Oh well, still worth it!

Alignment is a little tricky but got them close enough. The tips I had a lot of play moving them in and out to where I liked them.

I'm wondering if you measured your 1 1/2" from the wrong point? I measured from the weld.

I think I measured the same as you. The left side went on super slick, but the right side I had trouble with. I know my first cut was angled kind of weird (first time using a sawzall). I ended up making another cut from the bottom to clean it up. That side just did not want to go on all the way and I had to use a rubber mallet to pound it in.

Even after that, it still looked too low compared to the left side. But after starting to tighten everything, the left actually looked too high and the right side looked ok! So I was able to bring the left down a bit and it looks fairly even now. I'm not sure which one was wrong or right, lol.

I might end up taking it to a shop and having them weld it on. I don't know if they would be able to straighten things up a little more or not.
