Yeah I know a friend told me at the time I purchased my car that the SAAQ in
Vallyfield had those letters and when I picked up my car I had my sales person lend me his car for an hour and went there and plated it myself. I even got lucky with the number it's my year of birth

They repaired two oil leaks on my engine, one was the oil cooler, the other was at rear of engine we thought it was rear main bearing seal, it turned ot to be the rear engine cover "porosity issue" transmission had to be removed to get to it. They had to remove my headers and exhaust sysyem to be able to drop the transmission. The actual job was all warrenty but I had to pay for the extra time involved in removing headers and exhaust they charged me three hours labour. They also installed new manifold gasket no charge when they reinstalled my headers as when they were installed they came with no gaskets so the original ones were put back on. Leaks are all gone, apparently this porosity has been an issue quite a few threads on it. All in all happy with their work.

I had this issue with my previous Corvette. Tires where so hard it was because of age. There's many factors to consider, if the car is stored and there is no ware then we will have a tendancy to keep them more than 5 years + or so. Mine where originals on a 79 Vette with only 66,000KMs so they looked good but the rubber was so hard, this happened in 1999, that the installer, which is a very big shop, almost broke his machine because tires would'nt strech. He said that with age the rubber is getting harder.

So we should check date of production mostly with uncommun tire sizes.
