Which pen did you use for this one? And, is it just me or does the blue not go too well with black leather? I'm getting ready to do mine but it seems like the lighter colors are meshing much better with the black leather. The blue almost looks a bit purple.

Do you have any accents already? LEDs? Stripes? Aftermarket shifter knob? etc..

So I gave this a try on my 1LT seats. I started on the underside of the passenger headrest and it took me about 3 stiches to find out that it is not going to work out. Luckily it is imposible to see this atempt without really trying.

I got my blue Elmer's Painters pens yesterday. Now I just have to get the courage to try this mod.

DO IT!

It makes a world of a difference with the interior. People are shocked when I tell them I just used a fabric pen. That and a damp cloth to wipe off the leather.

you guys with cloth seats can still change the thread color ,

you just cant use the elmers paint pens,

you have to use fabric dye pens ,

go to a fabric/craft store and look for dye pens .

thats what i did the parts of my seats that the leather is sewn to the fabric.

ill take a pic of the dye pen i have ,i forget the name of it at the moment.

Sweet I look forward to that. I just don't want to end up with pink stiching And I feel like that is what the dye pens will get me.

here it is.

this is what i used on the small cloth portions of my seats.

i got it at joann fabric and they have many many different colors.

i would take a small piece of similar colored thread with you and see what looks best.

theres usualy a tester area at the display that you can try most of the colors before you buy.

I also used fabric markers on mine. They are green. I posted pics here somewhere one of the first few pages, I think.

It's page 9. My interior is leather, but you can see some of the cloth sections in the pics.

I used a blue fabric dye pen I bought off of ebay. In person it looks blue, a lot of people comment and ask if it came that way from Oshawa (well they don't say Oshawa, they say the factory, but I say Oshawa)
