Painted Tail Light Bezels?

Anyone on here had there tail light Bezel's removed and painted? And if so were they hard to remove ? Just curious how it worked out for ya. I've seen the ones on the net aftermarket , but for 200 bucks I would think I could have them painted a hell of alot less. I'm not into the chrome and all that bling stuff. I like Dark, stealth, and hidden.

No. I even broke one of the tabs from being a noob but it didn't really matter. Just get a can of plasti dip and do that. easiest thing in the world.

It's a decision on how long you plan to have the car. Don't do anything to it too drastic that cannot be taken off if you plan on selling in the near future. if you want to keep it a while then dip them, and don't order the new set.

There is kind of a trick to get them out, but it's not hard.

I find if you push the top tabs out from the inside from the opening where the taillights are. Then GENTLY with a plastic tool wrapped in a rag, pry the bottoms away from the taillights from the front side. Mine came out with no broken tabs.

Hey thanks everyone great info here. Im new on here and you all really pull through. Im close friends with the Body shop manager and owner of the chevy dealership so I'm gonna have him take them out and spray them Flat Black with a semi-gloss clear. Just wasnt sure if it was a big pain to remove them.

Took off mine too. The first one is the tricky, but after you figure it out the rest are cake. I used my hands on the top two to push them out. Then I used a screwdriver wrapped in a paper towel to wedge in-between the bottom and twist. They sound like they are going to break, but they're fine.
