What about the 240s, and 300s with LS1 in them?

Stock for stock, not even close. The Camaro wins bigtime.

Even a Civic Si isn't that fast stock. They only have 139 ft-lbs of torque. They can make 200hp, but not until the get up to about 25,000 RPM.

By the time V-tec kicks in yo, you should have a several car-length lead.

Honda guys swear by their stuff. Eventually, they'll grow up and realize those cars are in the wrong bracket of performance for serious contenders.

It's not legal so no V6 er would ever see it on the street. It was running high 13's low 14's and save for an intake, it is totally stock. The guy that takes care of our Camaros owns it. Imported it straight from Japan....needless to say they don't send their best stuff to the states. He also has a RHD ACCORD wagon (built in Ohio for the Japanese market oddly enough) with a 2.4 k series motor in it....he put it in. It's pretty strong but my RS smokes it.

i'd say the only place a civic can win is on the autocross course (tight autox courses), but in a straight line, the camaro will murder them...but like someone said earlier...if you hear hissing, spooling or whining be careful! i do some autox with my little civic and they are quite capable there, but nowhere near the same league as an RS on the drag strip unless highly modified.

For 2012 it's supposedly got over 200hp, 170 ft-lbs of torque, and still a thousand pound weight advantage. Up until now they could run with the Challenger V6 pretty well. Now, I'm not sure it can quite out-accelerate even an automatic Camaro V6 (and who knows what the changes for the 2012 Camaro V6 will mean with that 11 hp boost), but it's nothing to sneeze at. Not bad at all for a NA four-cylinder car - a slip-up or missed gear by a Camaro could make things very interesting.

Almost 99.9% of civic SI owners think they're fast and furious street racers and are the coolest thing on the road, when in reality they look as good as my constipated shit.

haha i had a dude talk $h!t to me about his civic SI we lined up and i pretty much could have started outside the car and still beat him im jus sayin civics are not for racing unless its turbo

Last time at the track it must have been river day. There were a handful of K20 honda's and the best they could run was low 15's. There was a K swapped hatch running mid 14's, they're jokes.
