Time will tell, but I like the design better and can see how this one would work better.
Which has the better v8 version? They're basically the same-type setups between the v8's and v6's.

Surprised at the complaints

I'm really surprised at the number of complaints about the delivery of this CAI. Forty of you lucky people beat me to the pre-order list. Since then, I've read a lot of impatient posts.

Be patient and remember:

This is the first run of a product that is just coming to market; Vararam is no doubt moving the process along as quickly as they can.

The group buy is getting a roughly 10% discount.

Vararam is not a fly by night company that is going to fold and leave you empty handed.

Once the box comes in the mail, you'll forget whether it took 2 days or 10 days to arrive, because it will be on the car and down the road hours later. Everyone will be talking about the sound, the seat of the pants feel, and how impressed they are with the fit and finish while most of us will still have CAI envy.

To the ones who get 'em first:

We need some vids/sound clips to hold us over while we wait for ours

I never called them fly-by-night. My frustration is split in the fact I ordered from MarylandSpeed during the Fest, they took my money, and then they've directed me to Vararam for processing to tell me when it'll ship. It's now been more than 3-weeks, not 2-3, and nobody can give me a ballpark ship date other than "first week of May or so" they'll start in some magical order and in the meantime money is getting processed for intakes and possibly shipped when my money's been in someone's pocket for soon to be a month. The statement is that these would be shipped the end of April. If they only have 1-person working the shipping/processing of all of these then I don't give a crap what you say, they aren't all as top-notch a company as you want them to be(their engineering/testing/product may be great but it is leaving something on the table) and it's bad customer service. It's not as if they didn't have a clue these were going to be ordered and they got hammered by a large order out of the blue. They've had the Fest pre-order list and this list for a while. This intake has been in the talks for a while and it's longer than this thread has been around.

Have you ever heard of Vararam? They already have the dyno results and I even think they lowballed the numbers for marketing purposes and its STILL higher than Injen. Injens numbers arent even in the 20's. The reason I can see Vararam being better than anything else on the market is because its Ram Air. Theres a reason the ram air concept has been around for over 40 years...because it actually works.

I see your point. Personally, I don't think credit cards should be charged until the item actually ships. I doubt they're gonna pay you interest for the month that they had your money.

LOL! I don't think I have ever heard a company low ball their numbers for "marketing" how does that help them? If they did, their company isn't the smartest...

Or maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.

Didn't Chevy low ball the V6 Camaro initially with its 304hp rating and then came back to certify it at 312hp? Some just like to rule on the side of caution for whatever reason. I'd rather go low and produce more than come in high and and the numbers are much less than expected or anticipated. Just saying........

As the Dos Equis man would say ' Stay patient as well as staying thirsty my friends!'

I knew someone would bring that up. There is a HUGE difference between chevy rating the camaro at 304hp and a company claiming smaller numbers for "marketing". it had absolutely nothing to do with marketing. it had to do with being cheap and reusing the numbers from the caddy.

after the mustang came out, they ran it and certified it.
