Long tubes, This will get u more horsepower and better sound from your car.. As you mod your car you will need the engine to breathe. Once you put the long tubes it will open up the door for everything else.. We all say we gonna just put CAI and high flows with catback, and after you get used to that you always want more..

The question you should be asking yourself is what are my future plans for this car? Also do you live in state that requires emission testing and has visual inspection. Lastly if you get long tube you will have to get a tune which will void your powertrain warranty. These are all factors to be considered before taking the plunge. High Flow cat will net you 15-20 peak rwhp. Long tubes with a good tune will get you somewhere in the neighborhood of 35-40 plus.

I say go with the Lt's. They really make your car sound better and the increase in HP will help with the but meter.

I agree... this whole you will lose your warranty and the world will end is a bit much. The bottom line if you want to insure 100% that your warranty will remain intact dont mod your car.

Checkout the TSP 304 stainless long tubes. We offer them with high flow cats for guys wanting to connect to the factory mid section, but they can easily be upgraded down the road to a full 3" exhaust if you decide to go crazy!!!

Long tube headers like mentioned above will gain you more power than just doing high flow cats. We make two systems, one system that connects to your factory catback and another system that runs all the way to the rear mufflers. What are your plans for the car?

Headers Exclude use of HF Cats?

So, if I want to install Kooks or ARH LT headers, then am I understanding it right that folks generally do NOT install HF Cats, too?

If that is right, how do the cars pass the emissions tests? Or, is the headers without HF Cats simply for cars that will not be street legal?

So what I you put the LT headers and no tune? I'll get a check engine light and that's it? Will that affect the powertrain warranty?

Get BOTH.

I have LTs and HF Cats and no CEL light. Definitely plan on at least a mail order tune though as the car picked up huge power after a mail order Jannetty tune.
