After reading a bunch of posts on this thread, I've decided that if someone asks me if my camaro is a V8, I'm gonna smile in a ditzy blonde sort of way (even tho I am a red head) and ask "what's a V8?" - my car is so sexy its best if I just cruise slowly by and watch everyone drool.... :-)

I have a V-8 and I started telling people that it's a V-6. I don't want them thinking I make to much. I live in a very small town that hates it when your successful.

haha I do the same thing. Everyone moans and groans when I tell them its an automatic as if by some law Im required to buy a manual car. Ive never driven manual and have no desire to ever drive manual. Where at in Jersey are you? Im in central NJ by Flemington.

the issue as I see it...

The average dude, sees a camaro thinks it is fast and he is curious about it. He knows the fastest is a v8, so he will ask " Is that the v8 ?"

Now if they made a twin turbo six that had 500hp, you know what they would ask ? " Is that the twin turbo v6 ? "

We will all be answering the is that the Supercharged V8 question soon enough so relax.

Be happy with what you have, the v6 is a great bang for the buck.

Chevrolet should think about changing their 2013 to take advantage of the new looks in the Jay Leno design: - the twin hood intakes beat out the ugly ZL1 carbon center vent design and the functional rear brake vents look a million dollar better then the faux ones now. Plus the Jay Leno wheels are just right for the Camaro top of the line model look similar to the Corvette ZR1 in comparison wise.

Base on the past actions of GM and Chevrolet; it will be ignored because they did not think it up so it must be unsellable. LOL!
