JMan,

What number in line are you at that dealer?

BTW, all the dealer does is call their DSM and have them research the info. Each dealer is responsible for viewing their own allocation and running their own reports.

I am #1. When I went in to have them take the Hurst off my order I saw that there was another order in there at priorty 1 also. But I've asked around on the site and it seems that my order should be pulled first since it was submitted before the other guys, right?

RPO,

What is the sequence that the car wil go through once the car is delivered to the dealer? How long will it sit at the dealer before I can pick it up?

JMAN... I am pretty sure that if they are all at priority #1, then GM pulls the order based on order date.

A question -- do we know what Chevrolet/GM had projected as sales target for first-year? This might give us a hint as to ramped-up daily capacity...

Whenever a sold order type (SRE) is submitted, it carries a 1 priority. However, the dealer then changes the priority to fit the way he took his orders. In other words, if your order was submitted with a 1 priority but was the third deposit taken, he would change yours to a 3.

If your order was the first order taken and he "slipped" someone else in front of you, that's not ethical and I would call him on it. Even if the owner's brother wanted the first spot, that's not the right thing to do.

Once the car arrives at the dealer, it can only be delivered if the MCO and the window sticker is at the store. There should be no delays other than that. Maybe the dealer will pay you to keep it at the store on display? Yeah, right!

LOL! Yeah, that's kinda what I figured! It would have been part of pro forma discussions but I guess that info is unlikely to see light of day anytime soon.

Oh, well!

Both my order and the other order are set for priority 1. When I asked if he needed to change the other order to priority 2 he said it doesn't matter if they are both at #1 cause GM would automatically pull my order since it was entered into the system first...

Earlier on they said 100k for the full production year. But that was a loong time ago so who knows what they're thinking now. I think the best guide we have is 20,000 up through Q3. So 20,000 for 6 months or so.

Actually, here's the formula:

Consensus - Allocation x Stock units - 90 days x number of 1LT Aveo's =

So how long after arrival of the car and window sticker will you wait before you call the corvette lady and tell her to come pick her car up?

I am sure you guys will want to...... unwrap it....... and wash it.......and drive it.... and let it sit in the lot for a few days so people will stop and gawk at it.......and then call her... right?

This is the part I don’t want to happen to mine.... I'd like to take mine right off the truck....

Do you think it would be asking to much if I requested something like this from my dealer? And that the dealer advertisements are not adhered to the paint?

Maybe this if for a different thread...sorry.

I know Selena requested that the car not be prepped at all. She wants the plastic on the inside AND outside left on and she will be trailering it home. Me, I'll be driving mine home.

I guess RPO needs to tell us what the absolute MINIMUM is that the dealer is required to do and go from there.

She will know when the car is scheduled to arrive and we will abide by her wishes at that time. She has been a regular customer for a long time and we will ask if we can display it (locked of course) on the showroom floor for a few days. This way we can call all of our customers who have sold pre-orders to come and "take a sniff".
