hey all,

I'd like to open an invite from Chevy 3 and I to tag along with us to Lime Rock Sunday May 29 for their Veterans Memorial Car Show.

Second Annual Veterans Memorial Car Show is Sunday, May 29 - This big, on-track car show is the result of a joint venture between Royals’ Garage in Torrington, Conn., and Lime Rock Park. The show date is the Sunday during Lime Rock’s traditional Memorial Day Grand-Am race weekend, which features the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge race on Saturday and the Rolex Sports Car Series Daytona Prototype & GT race on Monday.

Proceeds from the Royals’ Garage Presents the Veterans Memorial Car Show at Lime Rock Park benefit the Veteran’s Memorial Wall at the refurbished Torrington City Hall.

The Sunday show is 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., rain or shine. All Show Cars will all be displayed on track, and is open to: Muscle Cars; Tuners & Imports; Street Rods; Classic Cars; Antiques; Antique Trucks; Race Cars; and Exceptional Contemporary. There is no pre-registration – just show up with your cool vehicle and pass muster with the Royals – and both spectators and entrants pay cash at the gate.

There are four trophy award winners: The People’s Pick, Royals' Crown, Skip’s Selection, and Veterans Vote.

Spectator Admission is $5 (kids 12 and under free); it’s free admission for ex- and current military; the Car Show Entry Fee is $10 ($5 for military). Parking is free.

Were you in the new haven area around 5:15-5:30 this morning?

This was very cool last year. We park on the track by the start finish line.

u enter the track on top of a hill...and need to take ur car along the track to get to the start/finish line....i asked the guy last year "is there a speed limit?" he said "just keep it resonable" i thought 70 around the turns was reasonable...so did the pirellis lol

Nope. Wasn't me. It may have been another member on here, epstien. He lives down that way. Our cars look similar at a quick glance.

well, I was keeping quiet about this one until I knew my plans for sure, but the wife's family is having a cookout on Sunday (same one I had to leave the autocross early last year - go figure), so I can't make it.
