I have one customer who wants to install his own Hurst shifter (which we can't allow him to do) but now that is a moot point with the LPO being removed. If and when it becomes an RPO, it wil be installed at the factory.

As a little side note, I would like to thank everyone who is participating in this thread and keeping it very civil. With all of the "your dealer is an idiot" posts going around, it seems that we can all coexist and have a little fun and learn something in the meantime.

Thanks again.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled program.

Ya, but you are far from an idiot so there really isn't any necessity to state what is normally the obvious.

What I am going to try to do is provide up to date info on this specific order thru the process until it arrives at the store up until delivery. This will give you guys/gals a little real time info on an order that's in process from today going forward.

Feel free to PM me with questions regarding it and as long as I don't get overwhelmed with PM's, I'll try to answer ASAP.

This way you can "adopt" this order to either supplement your own or just watch the process without dealing with your dealer (assuming they won't help).

Maybe this will help some folks rest a little easier.

BTW, this order is going to a 70+ year old woman who also currently has a 2007 Corvette Coupe (hope she trades it). How cool is that?

Could you tell me why, if my dealership tells me they have been allocated two cars for the month of March one being an SS which is what i ordered in October and I'm priority one at this dealership why they havn't called to tell me my preliminary order number has changed yet. I called them two days ago and they assurred me I'm still priority one and that everyone else who ordered is priority two. Does this make any sence to you? He also assurred me that the SS that they will be getting in Mar will be mine as long as there is no restictions on the one I ordered. Thanks.

So they are telling you that on the final allocation report by week from Feb. 18th they got 2 allocations? Just cause they have been told their allocation number doesn't mean that GM is going to pull their orders right away. It might still be a few weeks til it goes beyond 1100.

If they have your order (priority 1) and have 2 allocated in March, yours will be preferenced along with the next order in line as long as they are buildable within constraints.

Sounds right to me.

Sounds to me like Inferno Orange is GMs top priority for selection right now. My dealership had one 2SS Inferno Orange picked out of 21. Almost makes me want to change my color again.

GM will build whatever color is submitted (as long as it's not CGM or white). The idea that colors are built in large batches is 100% myth.

Wrong. I have seen most, if not all, colors (CGM being the exception) being preferenced. My RJT got pulled 2 weeks ago.

They are waiting on the Impala line to finish up their gray color so that they can swap out the paints.

They are waiting to finish out the Impala line builds that use's dark tarnished gray. then they will switch out to CGM since it's the replacement to that color.

Edit: damn u UCF for using fewer words, lol
