install time on trailing arms
How long does it take to R & R the trailing arms and bushings....had my local shop look it up and they said book time was 7 hours....theres no way that is correct....thanks!

Less than an hour... unless you change the outer bushings too... then add 30 min.
Your local shop is on crack...

Wow. 7 hours is pretty out there. I would budget for 2 to 3 hours if the shop hasn't performed this install before. The install really isn't all that complicated, and the most irritating part is pressing out the bushing at the chassis side if you haven't done that before.

You can do them in your garage with hand tools in less time, trust me.

To be fair, the shop may be estimating it as having to take the knuckles/hubs out of the car vs pressing the knuckle/hub bushings out while on the car. That doesn't necessarily makes them crooks, just a little ignorant about alternate methods/tools.... Some just can't think outside the press!

WoW... 2 - 3 hrs is a big stretch if you do like most and leave the stock bushing in.

i did mine in 1 1/2 hr...spent more time getting my dropped car on ramps to jack up and take off wheels...that was the timliest part...run from this shop
