Do it then... They're the best out there I've seen that won't make you break the bank... Hell they're better than some that will...

where do you find the cat deletes that look like the original cats? The local police know me way to well and hassled me on my 4th gen for not even attempting to hid the fact that i had no cat on my car. Also i have been out of the sports car game for a few years who's a good place to get a tune for my car after the longtubes and all the other goodies? place i used to have it done at went out of business (guy forgot to pay his taxes for a few years)...

horseback, I believe you wont find any that look like the originals but these on the long tubes do look like high flow cats.

Jason, how long will this price be good for? Your website has them for $469.99 but in your other thread you quoted $459.99. Which is the right price?

JSC81.....have the changed color yet? If so, what do they look like? Can you post some pics.

I'm sure there will be a few curious to see if ceramic coating will be necessary to keep them looking good.

I havent pulled the trigger yet. ;(

I believe you meant SilverSS^^

I'm just worried like the thousand others posted about warranty issues. My luck would be something major would happen I do have another 4 years to pay this off and 76,000 miles to go.
on the other hand I know GM built me a good car. LS engines are strong... im more worried about ripping out the transmission. On top of all this I know I want them on there and cant picture
myself waiting that long. Good thing about being military I can always keep my car registered to a non emissioned state regarding the cats. The more I sit here and drool being OCD the sooner
ill get them and tuned.

Yes....guess I meant SilverSS. Just curious from anyone that's put them on to see if they change color much.

I worried for a little while about the warranty as well until I got the tune. Then it was some pressure lifted off me.

I'm with you on the fact that GM built a good motor here. Chances are just adding headers/tune isn't going to cause an issue. The tune also doesnt' guarantee the warranty is gone. Now, I'll say that I haven't had to take my car to the dealer yet for anything so I don't have first hand experience on this yet. However, after the shop put my headers on he mentioned that I had and ever so slight valvecover leak. Found out there is a TSB about it. Shortly after I had my headers/tune I was at the dealership and told my salesman about the leak and asked if it was an issue now that it's tuned. He said No....it has nothing to do with the headers/tune. Again, I haven't put this to the test yet but it makes sense that that would still be covered. It's really going to depend on the issue that pops up and if it can be pointed back to the headers/tune.

Once you get headers.....you'll love them and kick yourself for not getting them sooner. I'll also say that I've already been to the race track about 5 different times with 5 - 8 runs each time. Still no problems with my trans so don't think you'll automatically start breaking if you add more power.

I've had them for about 350 miles now and they definitely colored, but not to tue pout of ugly, just a little blueing. I like the coloring though so I'm good with it. If your not then you'll need them coated. I'll try and get some pics up after I get off work in a few hours.

Yes all stainless headers & coated headers will change color if they're run. It just is what it is. These headers are extremely thick & well built which helps them to hold up better than others out there, but it's pretty much going to change colors some. Would you guys like pic of the ones I put 1000 miles on?

I can show you many many pics of coated headers after being run for a very short amount of time & discoloring like crazy. I'll find a new header, & set it next to a used coated header & a used polished stainless header.

There's just no good answer for keeping a header new other than not running them. I will happily get them ceramic coated for anyone interested, but in the end it will discolor. :(

Yes....I would like to see pics of those. Just curious.

The ceramic coating is just a cosmetic personal preference thing. Not saying you're wrong but I will say that I have about 3,500 miles on my KOOKS ceramic coated headers and they haven't changed color at all. I also have over 10 yrs on my ceramic Hooker SuperComps on my '69 and they have become a little duller but really haven't changed color or peeled off.

If you put them next to a new set of headers you will see the ceramic coating does discolor.

We should have some coated versions available for guys who think they might be interested. Typcially it runs roughly $150 to get them coated.

See there....for basically the $600 range for 1 7/8" 304 SS that is coated. That's going to be a seller.
