It could be possible, you have to remember, there were still almost 30,000 2010 Camaro's left over when the 2011's came out July last year. Most of those 2010's sat on dealer lots as orders were placed for NEW 2011's and they will sit again unless there are nice factory incentives and BIG dealer incentives. Chances are, the dealer has quite a few of those 2010 Camaro's still sitting on his lot and he needs room for the 2012's. These 2012's have some pretty big changes, one being the new 3.6 LFX V6. I posted this yesterday...
Quote:
It means that the order guide for the 2011 Camaro's is closed and you are no longer able to special order a 2011 Camaro. The only way to purchase a 2011 Camaro is picking one up from the lot. This also means that there will be a slight sales decrease starting now until GM is able to ship and sell the new 2012's unless there are incentives on the remaining 2010's and 2011's. If I were in the market for a Camaro in general, I would keep an eye out for pretty decent factory incentives starting tomorrow.

As customer's order the new 2012 Camaro, there will be a slight sales jam while dealers await production and shipping of the new model year. This is the perfect opportunity to sustain sales by using existing stock. Part of me thinks that this was planned but really thinking about it... There is no way GM could have planned this out. Anyway, $10,000 dollars cash back may be a little too much but I expect some pretty attractive incentive announcements within a week or two. That being said, those announcements will not state that the incentives are for 2010 Camaro's only; you will have to personally inquire about the cash back.

GM doesn't want anyone publically knowing that there are still mass amounts of 2010's out there...

D&C doesn't even have a website nor are they listed as having any camaro's on the Chevrolet website. I kind of wonder if it is a used car dealer. STAY AWAY. They say if it is too good to be true, it usually is.

Even if its a (new) 2010, $10K off is still a great deal. Let us know what happens. If the salesman gives you a bs excuse, snap a cellphone pic of him and post it here so we can have a caption contest We'll make him famous!!

Sometimes. I was close to that on a leftover 2010 a few months back before I bought my RJT 2SS... (Probably should have jumped on it but I found the RJT 2SS later and got a better deal so it kinda worked out)

Yes, as mentioned above... Even if it is a "NEW" 2010 Camaro (LT or SS) that is the deal of a lifetime. $14,000-$16,000 for a 2010 V6 Camaro? I would buy it right now and in cash. Let us know the details as soon as you get them and how many they have left.

I would become a Camaro owner again for that price...

A dealer in Chicago did that...And then went BK the next week. Never paid the maker for the cars, and they were all repo'd by the manufacturer...and the buyers were stuck with the payments, and no cars. judge said they should have known something was wrong.
