SIs this a decent deal/help me decide
I've been the happy owner of a 2LT/RS ABM 2010 (obviously) for almost two years. I was adamant that I wouldn't want a convertible and we got the coupe. I also was sure a V6 automatic was fine.
Fast forward to a few months ago. Out come the convertible. Like most everyone else I was drooling. I began looking at the numbers for my coupe and the new vert. I was fine with a 2LT vert until I drove a manual v8 at the dealer while I got my cars oil changed. Now I face many dilemmas. SHould I hold on to my ABM coupe? (My wife says it will be a collectors item) (I know that's in like a million years, but she's my wife. I just smile and nod.) If I do get a vert, should I go ahead and move up to the v8? (I/m getting a manual if I change over. Tired of an automatic) Should I wait until next year to get a vert when the rebates, etc are in full swing? I got some numbers from the dealer. Just thought you all would like to hear what I got told. (Didn't haggle or anything, just got numbers. Here goes: 2011 2LT/RS Vert, Manual, RJT/Beige $36,040 (MSRP) My trade 2010 2LT/RS Auto ABM/Gray 9400 miles $22,000 Plus taxes, tags and random other things $14,809 Honestly, I'm thinking that I can get a 2SS for almost the same price if I waited for the rebates that I know are coming later. Has anyone else gotten more for their trade? Or gotten a better deal on their vert? I have to convince the wife to trade/sell her baby to get my new v8(hopefully) baby and it'll have to be a great deal. Thanks for all the

I feel you on this one. There's an IOM/IOM vert about 30 minutes away from me...
MSRP: $42,600 GM supplier discount pricing: $41,400 NADA Trade-in on my coupe (8k miles): $34k (paid $38k 9/09) Debating on waiting on upgrades in the 2012's, but honestly not that impressed with them.

I totally agree with your wife, its not to be sold and will be a Heritage some day.
..I don't get those who trade in their Camaro. I do have the 1LT and many of my friends have the SS/RS, but i do not regret buying my V6. For me, not planning in selling/trading my 5th Gen. for anything. |
