Time to do some tune testing for Vince. And by me a Zex kit

My scanner again saw almost all but the Catalyst Monitor ready this morning. Went over to the station, he saw the same thing and voila!!!

Now after the scan is sent to the state, there is another menu where the inspector has to input P or F manually, but that's apparently only for the print outs. The Inspection is still based on the reading sent to the state which is paired up to the Vin number scanned by the barcode reader.

The whole process and system is oxymoronic in my opinion.

Congrats Blade!!! I feel much better now knowing that I should have the EVA monitor ready by Sept. I drive it daily and put about 100 miles/day so by August I should have about 3000-4000K more miles on it.

Does the "Cat" not ready have any affect on future inspections??

Naaaa.......you only need to worry about the number of Not Ready's you get. The state computer won't activate the process unless it sees less than or equal to 1 Not Ready's.

The only reason I had so many issues was because I updated my tune after I got the renewal notice. Than when it failed the first time, I kept tryin to use the stock tune to pass the car, but that kept throwing the CEL.

Technically after I put the performance tune back on again, it took 2.5 - 3 weeks for the Evap system to switch Ready. Also lets not forget 700 miles and 3 fuel ups were involved too.

Congrats on passing. At least you're not in cali, where if you fart while the test is going on they fail you.
