I've never bought a car where when you get upgraded wheels they give you the base wheels. I think that they bought this modified, so they didn't have the wheels to give. Kind of like a Lingenfelter Corvette on a much smaller scale.

Now, if I ordered the car, and had them send it to the company to have work done, I would expect the wheels back.

I felt the deal was good enough that getting the oem wheels wasn't that big of a deal. I imagine they just put the oem tires and tire sensors on the foose wheels.

I had a 2011 2SS/RS Vert on order that also had the gfx as well as the optional 21" black painted wheels.
Onwe day when I stopped at the dealer to see how things were going, I came out and asked him about the wheels/tires that come on the car from the factory because the 21's are put on at the dealer. I asked him if I could buy the stock wheels/tires, so I could use them in the winter.
He checked and came back and told me that I would be getting BOTH sets of wheels/tires. The optional 21's are considered 'additional'.
I then asked about what kind of wheels/tires that would be on the car from the factory because I figured they would just throw on a base model wheel/tire since they were destined to be removed, but the dealer said no, the car comes from the factory as a 2SS/RS so that's the wheels/tires that would be on it.
I was surprised but pleased to hear that yes, I would get both sets of wheels/tires.
Now I'm not sure what they would have done with the stock set if I hadn't asked about them. Would they would have still given them to me or would they just not volunteer the fact that they're mine for the asking?

Hey Formula, that is pretty cool! We work with a handful of dealerships too on turn-key purchased mods on their Camaro order. We think its a cool process to see dealerships taking the initiative and providing this to customers like yourself. Totally sweet! What are you going to do with the car? Show it?
