Question When will Alpine release the KTX-CMO dash kit?

Does anyone have any idea as to when this dash kit will be released? I have searched the board but I have not seen a release date. I am fixing to uprade my stereo and would hate to spen the money on the Metra kit only to have this one come out right after I install the other one. Any info would help. Thanks!

There have been rumors, but nothing definite.

the bonus with any of these kits is that if you get one and want to change it later, you can always sell the one you dont want here and minimize your losses

Yeah that's all I have been hearing is rumors. I read somewhere that the Alpine dash kit will only work with the 900 and 910 headunit, is this true? If so I guess I'll just order the headunit and metra kit for now and upgrade when it comes out. Anybody got a used Metra kit for sale?

Just missed mine, but honestly would just wait.
Metra kit requires dash cutting and is kind of a pain. Wait and see the alpine install.

actually, you dont have to cut the dash. the instructions tell you to, but you dont have to, and you definitely dont have to cut the whole piece they tell you to. I ended up cutting a small 2" x 3" piece that wasnt needed/used but then determined that I didnt even need to cut that.

Well that's not too far away but who knows if that will even happen or not cause its not the first time that it has been pushed back right? Does anyone have the metra kit with the aftermarket chrome stem hurst manual shifter in the car? I was wondering if it gets too close to the head unit when shifting into 3rd or 5th?

I dont have the shifter, but it doesnt stick out as far as the OEM radio, so I would venture to say you'd be safe.

the OEM radio has those big ... uh... knobs that look like breasts that stick out much farther than the Metra
