It's like cars above and beyond your own forcasts incase you need them?
Your estimated shipments are what you earn by selling product in a timely fashion. It's part of the "turn and earn" system that GM has been using for years. Launch vehicles like Camaro, ZR1, etc. are not figured this way but normally, the more you sell fast, the more you earn in the form of estimated shipments.

Capeesh??

(Yes, I know this won't happen, there not even being produced right now), and its time to settle the contract and price. I have the R6P: Early Order Activity Vehicle code on my workbench.

Now from what I get from this forum, my price was locked at MSRP the day my order went in. and lets say my dealer wants to be shady, and charge me above MSRP. Is there anything I can print out to show my dealer, that states that MSRP must be given. Or is up to the dealer and this code is just for something extra on the window sticker?

I'm pretty sure I won't have this problem, but there might be others out there that are worried.

Thanks again for all the great knowledge!
It all depends how your order was written and what you agreed to. If you agreed to MSRP at time of delivery (which most dealers probably did), whatever is on the window sticker is what you agreed to pay.

If your deal was written with a specific number (highly doubtful), then the dealer will get reimbursed for the difference under price protection.

Roger that

Now are these estimated shipments given to you by GM every single month? If so do they calculate your estimated shipments by the previous months sales? Or is it like a overall, running total kinda thing of all sales you've done for a certain model?

Yep, knew that. I have a very good relationship with my dealer. I have a verbal agreement and a printout with prices of the car at the time of order. We used some program on his computer that had prices and we wrote it down next to each item in what I believe is the GM Autobook (it is the Window Sticker). this is version 146.0, last updated on 12-30-08.

I'm in the clear.

You really should have a signed buyers order.

You know what they call people that have "verbal agreements"?

Litigants.

Yes, your local dealer in NC can look up your order number at the GA dealer!

lol. There won't be any lawsuits. When all is said and done, your right! A normal person going in to buy should have signed a buyers order. With that said, I'm by no means a normal buyer.

Maybe this will help justify my position,
Since the year 2000, this has been purchased (not leased) at my dealership:
2000 Corvette
2002 Corvette
2004 Corvette
2005 Corvette
2006 Corvette
2001 Chevrolet Silverado
2007 Chevrolet Silverado Z71
Two 2008 Malibu's
2005 Cobalt
2006 Avalanche
last week 2009 Avalanche
on order 2010 2SS Camaro

catch my drift, not normal!

RPO,

Any new status on the lady's Camaro?

Still 2500?
Still no MSRP?
Still no TPW?
