I waited over 20 years for a live action transformers series, and when they originally set out, they were going to just keep making them and progressing the story (like a tv series only the episodes are 2-3 years apart). I hate trilogies. I think they are an abomination to movie making for one reason, the first one is always great, the second one sucks (whether outright or just in comparison to the first one) and the third one is always trying force too much stuff into it to tie up all the loose ends that it ruins the movie.


but yet we've got Fast Five and they're supposedly working on a Fast Six...



as for Michael Bay, keep in mind Spielburg is also an executive producer of the transformers movies as well....

It's easy to pick at the shortcomings of movies when the subject matter is something we all take great interest in. I thought the first one was kinda fun, but man if I "had" to hypothetically choose something to immediately remove from the second one to instantly make it better, it would be those two twins! Go figure!

But yeah, its a movie.. they all take a turn for the worse in sequels, don't they?

I just saw it as, they were lil' modded-out street racers, so they talked "street." Kinda like how the silver Autobot who turned into a high-dollar sports car was haughty. Kinda like how 18-wheeler Optimus was down-to-earth, and the one who turned into a truck was tough. And in the cartoon, if you remember it, Perceptor (who turned into a microscope) was very intelligent. Their personalities usually matched what they transformed into.

This is exactly what I say when people complain about the story line.

As far as the stereotypes, I don't condone or participate in those and not because I want to be PC or whatever its because like it or not stereo types do affect people and there lives. People are dumb and the more people you having saying something or joking about something the more people actually believe it and that has real consequences for those on the short end of the stick.
Regardless if the stereotype is true or not people will believe it.
I know white girls who say they fear being raped by a black guy, but yet they don't actually ever come in contact with any black people or frequent any areas where black people do and they live in all white neighborhoods. Where does a specific fear like that come from. These same girls are more likely to be raped by the guy there on a date with.
I remember seeing this guy on the news who said he was robbed by a black guy, but later it came out that it was a white guy who robbed him and he admitted he said the guy was black because it would be a more believable story.

So on one hand, yes I agree people should be less sensitive and grow a pair, but on the other hand people shouldnt be so stupid either and until the general populous gets smarter I think I can deal with people being a little over sensitive.

How would you feel if during high school everyone said you were gay, when in fact you weren't. No one would call that a stereo type, you would just say it's an out right lie. But this is how many people feel about so called stereo types.
ESP when they turn on the tv or watch a major motion picture and see themselves betrayed in a light that is nothing like them or the vast majority of people who make up there group.

But I don't want to preach, this is a car forum and sorry if I took the thread to an unpleasant area.

With that said I LOVE Transformers and can't wait till the next one comes out.
