Seems like the 60' doesnt mean too much. I ran a 10.30 with a 1.544 60' and then a 9.84with a 1.639 60'. If it ever stops raining here we will be trying to do better this year.

![]() Seriously, I launch off idle. Traction is so good I can just "jab it" to the floor. When I've experienced not so good traction (running the less-prepped lane, since I've only raced the Camaro at the same track), I "roll into it" off idle. Of course, the traction/launch mods are the lightweight TSW rims with Nitto 555R Drag Radials and the TCI/RX 3200 Torque Converter. I figure the 555R's are good to 11.5, and then I'll be looking for Mickey Thompsons are Nitto NT05's. See my build journal for more info and discussion. ![]() Padre |

Ken, when are you heading back? I was up there last Sat and there was only about 30-35 cars. I had 8 passes in by noon! How about Friday the 27th at Ted's rental? |

117mph bolt on
The weather conditions have a lot to do with it. I ran 113.5 on 9/17/09 (It wasn't even very cold)
with 20" Nitto 555Rs, headers, TA's, stock air box with hole and tube in the bottom, (no decent CAI out at the time) and a tune in my M6. Number 27 on Bolt on list. This same run is Number 16 on the unofficial quarter mile Bolt on list after dragtimes.com correction it was 12.32 @ 116.24 mph. I certainly think it would have been even faster with true cold air, better rims, gear, etc. |
