Also, if you are going to run a fancy oil, change it every 7K-10K miles. The oils will most likely last up to 15K miles but I tend not to push my oils.

I am with you on the intervals.. No way I could ever run an oil over 6 - 7k with a boost application.

Thanks for the input!!

Just running K&N intake and Stainless works Chambered exhaust with my Amsoil. No FI for me yet. Mileage went down slightly with the new exhaust but the sound of my car is MUCH improved . was averaging about 35.6 mpg at 60 mph cruise before exhaust and dropped to 33-34 mpg after but i don't really care as it sounds great.

I use it, based on my builders recommendation, but I'm also anal about oil changes... I change mine every three thousand miles whether it needs or not..

Turbo's and high boost encourage it...

That's great gas milage for a V6 muscle car... I am lucky to get 15 around town and 21 on the hwy.

I have done a ton of research on Amsoil and it seems to be the real deal. I have a friend that is a dealer and another friend that's dad is a dealer and they both praise the oil. Which they should since they have something invested, but from what I have gathered is it is a great oil. I am pretty anal about my cars and I am going to run it in my SS when the time comes for my first oil change.

Amsoil is a high quality synthetic motor oil to use but,it is not available in
alot places and it is hard to get in my area.I will only use Mobil 1 synthetic
motor oil and a Mobil 1 oil filter in my vehicles. For all GM vehicles I recommend
using Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil because it has been proven time and time
again that Mobil 1 is a high quality synthetic motor oil. Also Mobil 1 synthetic
motor oil is endorsed and highly recommended by GM engineering. They recommend
it because it works very well in all GM vehicles. The most important part is it is
available in most of all automotive stores and alot of stores like Walmart or
Sam's Club etc.

I've used Amsoil for over 25 years. I have a good friend who is a dealer. He ran it in everything he owned. He convinced me to try it and I was aways impressed with the increase in fuel milage. I bought an engine from him and I took it apart to change the cam and the the inside of the engine was spotless. Oh, this engine had 85000 miles on it. Give it a try I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

Sold auto parts for 10+ years and everyone I ever sold it to gave it high marks. The only two synthetics I'd use in my cars are Mobil 1 or Amsoil.

I use Amsoil too. In the motor and just refilled the differential with it. I'm happy with it, and will continue to use it.

So what product do you use in a SS. I am on their site and they have a couple different 5-30. I am guessing you are using the Signature Series?
