To be honest, I don't really care whether you would blackout the tail. I'm more interested in which option you would prefer in terms of heritage/style/looks.

Original blackout:

Blackout of the whole area of the tail:

Whole tail. That's what I'm doing to mine. Just the decklid looks incomplete.

I was wondering about that. I kind of like just the deck lid on the ABM that I want, but now I'll need to Photoshop the full black out to decide.

I ordered a victory red 2SS/RS, and I will be blacking out the entire panel. I have one question to you guys. How to you maintain satin black? You can't wax it can you?

Wax is never a bad thing on anything. Stay away from the edges to avoid buildup and you'll be fine.

Since the black Rally stripes do not go over the edge of the trunk lid i was planning on blacking our the tail panel with gloss black and a pin stripe like those that go arround the rally stripe above and below it all just between the inner taillights.

^Sorry... to each his own, but that's definitely not my cup of tea. But I'm typically of the mind that I like things to follow a specific pattern, so if anything, the yellow lines should be vertical in your idea. But like I said... to each his/her own.

I would do the blackout on the decklid, but extend the blackout to between the taillights along the same line.

I think you would also then have to leave a band of car color just the same width as the one on the stripes... but then it would be too much of a break between the rally stripes and the tail panel ...
The only thing is... If I am able to get the dovetail spoiler i will probably get the local graphics shop to make me some exact replicas of the rally stripes for the deck lid but long enough to wrap OVER the spoiler and end just before it drops over the indention on the tailpanel.
