I didn't set the ship dates and adjust it 3 or 4 times only to see said ship dates come and go.
like said before blame MD for taking your $$ before it was actually shipped. Ain't no one babying anyone. It's just the truth delays happen it how the world is. And no company I have ever reserved anything with charged me before the item ships.

Sorry man, I didn't mean to offend you. I still think you should take that issue to the vendor. I know Vararam displayed with them, but the vendor took your money. Vararam hasn't charged anybody yet, so there's really no need for the vendor to have your money other than to tie your business to them. Sounds like a bit of a misunderstanding between the vendor and Vararam, one that should be taken care of by the vendor since you're their customer.

I don't want to shell out $350 for an intake that could've been better just because some vendor took your payment early.

I figured I would chime in on this, since I haven't been on the site for about a month now. I thought that the intake would be out already not sitting in a "unknown" state. I agree with usa1 about this - what VR is doing is BS. As a company you cannot give a release date and not deliver on your product. And as far as companies taking money for a product before it is released that happens quite often on this website. I still blame VR for that also. Any self respecting reselling company that is promised a delivery date from a manufacturer would be willing to put their reputation on the line and collect money for a pre-buy. I guess us original C5 guys are not as likely to "baby" a company. We've seen this shit to many times.

I agree with devildoc, seen this sort of thing happen here before with other manufactures and vendors. The funny or not so funny thing about this is, depending how you look at it, the 5th gen LLT has been out for what 2 years now and they are still messing around with a design? I'm sure when they get it right, it will be at the top of the list of cai for the LLT. Until then I will wait for the final product. I already got burned by Airaid.

For those that think they get it right the first time, not true. I have seen two versions of the VR ram air intake for the C5 Corvettes.

Vararam has taken no one's money. They said they had it done, but obviously they saw something to make them change their mind. I guess the one thing they could do better in communicate, but this is a new product and these delays are not unexpected. SAME thng happened with the V8 version, they finally got it right and it is awesome. If you think it's BS, then for those of you that have paid money, call the vendor, get a refund and go buy another product. I understand people's disappointment, but unless you flat out think they are jacking you around, then give it time. They will get it right.

At this rate, someone will release a supercharger for the V6 before the VR ever comes out

I know Vararam will get it right, that's why I'm waiting on them. I got mine installed on my vette last week and it made a big difference, that's why I want the one VR is making for the LLT. I think it's BS that a vendor has taken a customers cash and has no product in hand to sell. They should have never done business that way. I had the same situation happen with 1700 bucks worth of coilovers. The vendor charged me for them and they didn't have them. Actually the coilovers weren't even in this country when they charged me and had no clue when they would get them but were more then happy to take my money right away. So I do see where some of the guys have a problem with the vendor.

I wouldn't put any blame on VR for the customers being charged for the intake, that falls squarely on the shoulders of that vendor and shame on them for doing it.

List? List? >.>

What is the purpose of this page, then? >.<

I can see the Camaro intakes and even add one to the basket... Def not going to go any further now that I've read this thread... I REALLY want one, though.

Though I read one post that expressed curiosity in having this + a CAI over in the gap left by the removal of the stock intake. Would that help, at all, or just be redundant?

Those are the SS versions you are seeing, the tune and no tune! V6 version doesn't have that opening in the middle. That's for the Radiator cap access on the SS.

D'oh!

Well... I guess I'll just wait for the V6 variant.

I'm still curious about my other question, though:

Rushing a product to keep people happy is only a short lived happiness. You end up ticking folks off with an unfinished product.

You may try that with your business but I'm sure Vararam will keep more customers in the long run.
