I have an Orange Camaro with black stipes and have seen the black with Orange stripes and I think it looks awesome. But I ran across a picture the other day and the lighting was dim but it had the matte grey and looked sharp. All depends on the accessories you want to go with such as wheels, chrome or blackening the car out. I personally like the full stripe package instead of the factory hood and trunk decal. It's pointless on the rear end unless some one is in a big truck behind you.

I love my CGM stripes. Very subtle. Everyone that sees them has a positive comment about them. I guess it depends on how flashy you want to make it. If you are already leaning towards flat black, I definitely would not go bright green or IOM or red.

What color interior do you have? If you have gray, I'd match up a gray stripe. If you have black, go with a red stripe. In either case have it painted; last forever and looks much nicer. I'm going to have my gills painted next the same color as my rally stripe.
