As of right now the black stripes are dealer install. If your order is pulled before the new stripe codes come out your stripes will come with the car and need installed. If the codes are updated before your order is pulled make sure they get changed to the factory installed black stripes.

68 with a straight 6! You could open the hood and see pavement from the engine bay, it was very simple and had nice power. It was not fast though I'm not very handy but I even was able to put a new engine in the car.

Did not buy it new it was a hand me down from my Big Brother and then my Sister totaled it for us. Never forgave her for that! Yes I talk to her.

The last time I drove it was around 86 when I was 16.

I have had a LOT of cars and trucks since them but nothing will feel like this will when I get it. small cry here......Hug it out Bitch!

Is this something that I should forget for now and on my own do it after I get the car by someone I trust?
I barely trust the dealer to put in the floor mats correctly.

Thanks

Congrats!

Having someone you trust doing the stripes would probably be a good idea!

I'm the same way. That's why I chose the CGM stripes since you can get those (and also white) from the factory right now. You might check with the dealer and see if they contract out the stripe/decal installs or if they do it in-house. If they do it themselves I'd see if there is a good shop around your area that you can trust to do a good job. If you REALLY want the factory to do it have them hold your order from being submitted until the new codes are out. But if you find a reputable place in town odds are they will do at least as good of a job as the factory.

Its hard for me to understand why they wont install other color stripes from the factory. Who really wants a dealer to be installing these.

Good point

I always forget that on the workbook they only showed the "2" models being able to order the factory install stripes. Now when they come out with all the colors for factory install I'm not sure if that will change or not.....anyone know
