I tend to park about 1/2 mile away (slight exaggeration) from my destination knowing that people are generally too lazy to park as far away as I did.
.
But wouldn't you know that inevitably someone parks beside me (the bastards) so they can drool all over my shiny black exterior resulting in the need for yet ANOTHER bath... geeezz....

I can't catch a break for sh*t...

Lol...I park like that too. I always try to find a parking spot at school with that half space on one side so I can squeeze my car close to the side with the half space. It doesn't count cuz that's not a douchy move in my book. So ur good!

There is a big difference between double parking up close to the business, and in the back lots. I always park in the back lots, away from other cars too. I still don't double though, it just gives punks a reason to vandalize your cars around here. Single park, far away, never had any issues. If you purposely take up two spots as close as you can to a business, I don't care what your excuse is: YOU ARE A DOUCHEBAG!

I have to agree with this statement. That guy in your first post is asking to get keyed. I've had many nice cars and my #rule is, if you don't feel comfortable enough to park your car in a lot in the lines like a normal person then don't take your car to that lot or maybe you shouldn't own this type of car. I park at the end of the lot but stay in the lines ,or I don't park there at all. When it comes down to it, your car is no more important than anyone else's so what gives you the right to take two or more spaces and expect everyone else to follow the rules. In some state's it's illegal to part like that and you can receive a fine.

A$$clowns

The A$$CLOWNS are the people out there that have no consideration for your car at all no matter how you park! No APPRECIATION for other people's property ! I have no problem walking a little further it ain't going to kill me. Now if your talking a full lot I probably wouldn't even park there! I will park as far away as possible and I'll have someone that just has to see how close they can park next to you, there can be a ton of parking and they just have to park on top of you . I don't know about anybody else out there but I've paid out some good money ( car plus mods) and try a keep my vehicle looking good. Granted I never went to this extreme of parking but me being a car guy the thought would never cross my mind to do damage to the car. Any person doing damage to a car because of the way someone else parks well they are just spiteful! So am I a DOUCHEBAG? Maybe just leave my car alone and everything will be fine . Just my 2 cents and the next time you walk out to your car and you have a door ding, ah no big deal . It's only a car, it's only transportation. Well it's someone else's property it. I'm off the soapbox thanks for listening.

Gotta love it when you park a short bus ride from the building and you are the only one that parked out that far. Come out of the store, and somebody is parked right next to you

For those saying it's only a car.... just hop in your Kia and peddle home. These are Camaros, a car bought due to an emotional attachment. Why would we spend this kind of money and time to just shrug off door dings?

I gotta find a paintless dent repair guy now..... Thanks, you fuggin morons!

What I really don't get is how someone is a D-bag for double parking up close, yet at what distance point does double parking not become an issue? "Close" is relative. If you double park you're a either a D-bag or you're not, regardless of distance. I don't care which you believe, but there shouldn't be any double-standard.

If most people here don't park up close anyway, why worry about how many spaces anyone takes up that does park close? What, now we need parking lot police? I don't worry about it much because I don't park close regardless of what I'm driving. You just have to guage your risk every time you drive/park in public.

This doesn't make any sense to me.

I parked in an open grass field with 4 or more feet between cars just to have a person pull up and park so close to my passenger side they had to squeeze out of their car hitting my mirror in the process. All this while I was getting some chairs out of the trunk. It was very lucky for this person it was mothers day, otherwise he would still be feeling intense body pain. . .
