It was great to see everyone at the 1st major club event Saturday. Congrats to the show plaque winners and to everyone for coming off the track unscathed. Next time you laggers remember: If you come to a fork in the track..TAKE THE LEFT ONE!

Seriously, if the pace car driver hadn't been as alert as he was there could have been a major calamity for those of us coming out of the boot. Anyway, next event is Sylvan Beach Thursday June 2nd. We usually meet up at the McDs at the Canastota exit off the thruway. We'll figure out the time as it gets closer. Hope to see all of you there.

Glad to see everyone had a good time! Wish I could have been there but was at the Mecum auctions in Indy! Had a chance to go to the Speedway and watch practice sessions for the Indy 500! Had a great time. Anyway, what's the next Upstate event on the schedule?

Mr. Clark- I'm a little hurt by the above comment and wanted to say that I apologize for being the newbie and a lagger, but in my own defense, someone could have review the course with me. I guess I just instinctively took the NASCAR route....and got 4 laps out of it.....and everyone is ok.

Won't happen again next time guys. Sorry again.

Thanks Andy! It was a pleasure shooting the club. I don't know if you have heard of the Vintage Grand Prix at the glen. It happens around the beginning of September every year. It usually goes like this. Friday you get with a winery that sponsors the event and they usually do a poker run through the back roads. We go with Glenora winery but they are for cars that are 25 years or older. There are other clubs that don't care about the year of the car. The poker run is usually in the morning and later in the day, depending on the winery your with, you do 2 parade laps around the old Watkins Glen track. It goes through the town and through the hills. I mean its a parade lap so you dont get to horse around to much but its still fun. Later that night the race cars come down and do a few parade laps. Everything from the early 1900 roadsters to the old trans am cars. Saturday is a big car show at the track along with qualifying and racing. Sunday is more of the same. Its a great event! I have a few videos from the past on my youtube channel.

Not to make this post any longer but who all is going on the power tour? I'll be heading down with Jeff and Gary from the car show on the 2nd. Let me know if your going and we could meet up!

No problem-didn't mean to offend and not directed an anyone in particular. The track guys are supposed to orientate everyone and obviously didn't do that. They should put up a barricade to block off what parts are not being used. Just wanted everyone to be aware for next time as it is a safety issue.
