I did not file a police report, should I? ive never had a vehicle vandalized before

one of my friends recommended buying Nu Finish scratch remover but I think this scratch is a bit too deep. how much does it usually cost to get these things fixed? I know a good body shop here

You should file a police report just in case.. Maybe that same person tries something in another car in the lot or yours again.. Good thing to have documentation on it.. Maybe a patrol car will pass by during the night to check up on things.. It doesn't hurt reporting it, it can help you later I something else happens

I would file a police report. They won't really be able to do anything about it, but it will alert them to the fact that it happened. Get a copy of the report and give it to the apartment manager along with a quote from your insurance company on how much it will cost to fix it.

Your insurance should cover it, but making sure that the apartment manager and police know that something like this has happened in this area can't hurt anything.

my insurance does, but i gotta pay the first $1000 on it :(

Had mine keyed recently, cost $600 to repaint the entire door. Only ended up paying around $100 becuase of my comprehensive insurance. Sorry to see this, and good luck.
