Man, that's a shame. Hope you get it fixed quick and it doesn't cost too much with your insurance. On the bright side you should have a greatly improved turning radius.

Hopefully you didn't tweak the frame. Did a similar thing a few cars ago, never road the same again.

ok, I was busy with other stuff...

anyway heres the story in bullets :(
  • When I was getting ready to leave I turned off traction control and stabilitrack
  • When I was pulling out of the culdesac I applyed the same amount of gas that I normally do.
  • Thats when all went to hell, It started to spin out, I tryed to correct (maybe thats where it wrong)
  • Rear wheel hit curb and I managed to pull off to the side of the street.
  • Nobody injured, nobody on the road, I got lucky and didnt get a ticket also.

First - thank God you were not injured - - that's the most important thing...

Second - your Camaro can be fixed - but it isn't going to be an inexpensive repair.........

Third --

(again - this isn't necessarily directed at you)- but I continually remind people that it is A BAD IDEA to SHUT YOUR TRACTION CONTROL OFF unless you're on a track. And every time I do, I get a few people who think I'm wrong or crazy or whatever.........

I DO NOT CARE HOW GOOD YOU THINK YOU CAN DRIVE...... the reality is that most of us think we're better than we are. That's why there are these occurrences called "Accidents" -- so please - I'm not saying this to put anyone down or to harangue anyone.....I simply see too many of these incidents happening.....

WHEN it happens - there is invariably an insurance claim - -more insurance claims mean higher premiums - so you are costing everyone more money. Secondly - in some instances, you lose control and not only wreck YOUR Camaro - but you wreck other peoples' cars and trucks ....and/or destroy others' property. And in severe cases, the unthinkable happens.......and you can go to jail for a long time when that happens........

So - please - the Camaro team BEGS you - please - leave the Traction Control and Stability Control ON when driving on public roads..........

Well said - my brand new Tundra got wrecked as a result of someone doing a similar thing with thier car. Unfortunately for me, they were able to drive away and only the car that ended up hitting me stayed at the scene (happened on a 4 lane highway) and thier insurance company refused to pay the claim as they laid the blame on the idiot driver that never stopped even after causing the accident.

Listen to Scott - no reason to ever turn these off unless in a controlled environment and noone else around that you can harm.

Not to be an ass, but why lie?
You obviously turned TC off to drive harder and get loose. Unless it was raining you wouldn't have spun out at "normal speeds".

Sucks it happened, but don't try to make it sound like you weren't driving like an ass lol.
