Teddy's Deli/Restaurant on the corner of Park Road and King Street in Oshawa . About 5 mins north of the plant , it has the best deli sandwich or hot turkey sandwich in all of Durham Region . Oh and its not licenced to sell alcohol . Parking is to the south and east of the restaurant and also across the street in the Shoppers Durg Mart parking lot.

There is also a great Irish pub just east of the host hotel on Bloor street called the Bulldog and they have great food , its a 1 min drive or 5 min walk from the front door of the hotel .

In the town of Whitby just west of Oshawa there is an AMC complex with a dozen different restaurants , its on the Thickson Road/hwy 401 interchange , the complex is north of the 401 .

Just FYI:

And may not affect anyone, but if your coming from the USA with any pets, you need a health certificate issued by your VET within 10 days of your travel to Canada...

The DJ and karaoke is booked for Friday night after the banquet at the Quality Inn on Bloor (BBOMG host hotel)!!! :seesaw::party0048: He will set up directly after the banquet and begin at 9:30 or so until 1 a.m. So you can enjoy dancing and entertainment as well as visit the parking lot party!!

For those who would like to contribute to help me cover the costs, it would be truly appreciated!!

Make sure you bring your current rabies vaccine certificate with you!! That's the main thing they are after. We bring our chihuahuas to Canada every summer for a sailing trip with friends and that's what they are looking for!!

I am really looking forward to BBOMG (first timer)! We're planning to stay until Tuesday AM, hoping to get some sightseeing in - maybe Toronto. I'll be with my husband and a 16 & 18yo girls. Any suggestions for us? I want to take them to the CN tower, but off the beaten path sights would be great~

And in the same vein, what is everybody going to have the plant workers sign? I have a nicely painted engine cover, so that won't be it for me. I have the sig's of fbodfather, Jon F and Al O. on my sun visor.

Thought about the fuse box cover, but that's kinda small. ... maybe I should get another engine cover for signatures?
