Honestly, without looking at it, it could go either way. Im sure your long tube headers take up more packaging space. Of course it would be "easier" to remove them, but then that would just make more work for you. You would have to just take a look at the sight lines on each of the bolts indicated in the install to get a good idea on whether or not they (the headers) need to be removed. It may just be that you use different tools to get at them. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Off topic I know but I just made a post in the Camaro5 Fest Vendors thread that might interest you all.

Thanks for stepping up Pfadt!

I just got done installing the engine mounts in my garage, took me about 1 hr 15 min from the time I put the jack under the car until I dropped it. I'll do a write-up later today once things around the house settle down. Before the mounts I could rock the engine back and forth very easily by hand, now she isn't moving!!!!! The only "difficult" part of the install was maneuvering the pedestals around to get the stock mounts out, it is probably a little easier on a lift because you have easier access to the underside but on jackstands it took a little bit of patience. Taking the car out a little later today so I'll have some feedback regarding any noticeable difference in driving characteristics.

As an aside, the main reason I put these in is because I know I have some forced induction in my future and I like doing incremental upgrades to try and get a feel for what each addition changes the way the car feels.

Went out for a little while with the engine mounts and right off the bat there is a noticeable difference between the stock ones and the Pfadt. When I fired it up and the engine surged and then settled down into its idle the car vibrated significantly as it settled down telling me these things are very solid. Once out on the road I did notice a little more punch off the line and when letting off the clutch. You can definitely "feel" the engine throughout the car more than with the stock units which is probably why the stocks are the way they are. They have definitely eliminated some of the "mushy" feel when you get on the gas. The one thing I noticed is you will be punished if you lug the car as she vibrates pretty significantly as opposed to the stock units. In all, the mounts really firmed up the engine, only time will tell if I get used to the extra vibration but I did enjoy the little extra punch it adds to the "arse-dyno"...

Nice I have my mounts but I am waiting for my long tubes to do the job all at once,Several people have said its allot harder to get to the top bolts with long tubes. So hopefully going to be smarter and not work harder.

Glad you are liking them. You will find that they either soften a little after initial use, or you get used to them. We have noticed that on several cars with them installed. Initially they are very noticeable, and over time, you start to really love the feel and would not have the car any other way.

Keep us updated on your impressions.

Our friends at Total Performance Racing are using these engine mounts on their Grand Am Race cars. Here is a picture of the engine mount bolted to one of their race motors.

They're not only working well on full on race cars, but our street cars as well!

Any known warranty issues caused by these? Just curious. Thx! On a side note, did yall get the air out of the power steering on the shop car? You guys were trying to solve that issue the day before C5Fest II started.

We haven't heard of any warranty issues associated with these mounts, but if you're concerned please clear it with your particular dealer first just to make sure you're both on the same page.

Oh we finally got the bugs worked out. The problem really was getting the system completely bled since it was bone dry for so long. It was kind of a pain, but the air eventually worked it's way out of the system! Thanks for asking!
