The 2011+ GT's are fast. Any year under that, there slow for a v8 and have low horsepower. Could you imagine buying a 2010 and then finding out the changes for 2011? I would be mad.

It's been that way forever in the consumer world. I would've been more pissed off had I bought a 96-98 Mustang GT back at that time.....

Dude, a little common sense will tell you that the bone stock GT will not put 3-4 cars on his Camaro, with the mods it has.
When I emphasized bus lengths, I meant it as a compliment towards your car, seeing as how much faster it would be. And you had a spotter when you raced a v-6 camaro and stock gt?

I have plenty of common sense, and let's say an auto gt runs 13.6 (a below average time), the camaro v-6 runs a 14.4, with the mods he has, is he really going to pick up 8 or more tenths of a second?

And as we agreed, a manual would be pretty much out of the question for his car, without a doubt.

Totally taken out of context, I apologize. I'm not exactly a fan favorite around here, especially in threads where V6's and racing is being discussed...

actually yes and one has actually dropped a full second wth those mods minus the gears but had smaller tires so its pretty much the same mods

No worries, I don't think I am either cause I say it how it is. When the camaro is faster, i'll say it. When it's not (like in this case) people get so bent out of shape with "well, not exactly, if..." sorta comments.

Clearly you have not yet tried first hand a race between a 10 and older stang against the 6 else you would say it would be close if the mustang driver is an expert, otherwise a win For the camaro by at least a car length.

If it were an 11 or newer - then all the camaro driver would see is tail lights.

I hit consistant 13.5's with my 2011 V-6 all the time (And its a MT). Beating him on the tree is where you need to concentrate... It will be close for sure, but there is no reason why you couldn't take the Mustang. Practice up or you won't be able to beat him...

Race it and we'll all find out. Then you'll also find out how much the wheels are actually hurting the times.

And Jamie needs to post up the 13.5 slips in the drag section.

Are you saying that intake, headers, exhaust, & a tune are worth less than 3 hp?
