Ordered My 2012 SS Today!

Just left Classic in Grapevine, TX and put a deposit down on a 2012 Summit White 1SS, LS3/6 speed. Go visit Eric Hall at Classic if you're thinking about getting a Camaro. Thanks for your help today, and letting me test drive the cgm SS vert.

Wise, does your dealer Eric have an alllocation for the car to be built? If you did not discuss this, you may want to ask him.

That's why I changed dealers when my local one did not want to talk about allocation. I contacted Becky Doyle here in the forum at beckyd@Rodgerschevrolet.com and she was very helpful - so much so that I bought my car from her! And yes, she had an allocation available the following week after we spoke. My deposit went towards THAT car to be built for me.

Congrats! I'm also thinking about place an order for 2012. Got a quick question, about how much of the down payment do the dealers require you to put up front?

This is what I read online also from GM customer service. Either way, it's gonna be awhile.

I didn't ask him about that, but I trust Eric and Classic. If I have to wait a little bit longer, it's not a big deal. I've been waiting the last few years to put a deposit down so a little bit longer isn't going to kill me. I'm not too impatient, lol.

You'll have to ask your local dealer or one of the users on here who sales these cars about that one. Good luck to you though and I hope you get to order soon as well!

Eric's a straight up guy. He ordered my 2011 with no down payment and having never met me. He even expedited my order when I wanted to move up the delivery date. Did all of the paperwork in the parking lot at work when he brought the car to me and I handed over my cash deposit. He didn't even count it.

Another Vote for Eric. We picked our almost 18months ago from Eric and he made the whole experience worth the trip from San Antonio to Grapeville.
